Abstract
Cis-jasmine is a high-value and high-purity aromatic organic compound widely used in the global cosmetic and daily flavor industry. It has a fresh, natural, elegant and long-lasting jasmine fragrance, which is close to the aroma of real jasmine flowers.
Description
Its chemical name is (Z)-3-Methyl-2-(2-pentenyl)cyclopent-2-en-1-one. It is a pale yellow oily liquid, barely soluble in water and miscible with ethanol, propylene glycol and fragrance oils. It owns an authentic, rich natural jasmine scent with fruity, herbaceous green undertones, regarded as one of the key aromatic constituents of natural jasmine absolute.
