Abstract
Natural Sclareolide, CAS No.564-20-5, also named clary sage lactone, is a natural bicyclic diterpene lactone extracted and purified from clary sage . It presents elegant warm woody, dry amber and subtle tobacco-like base note, featuring extremely strong fragrance retention capacity, widely known as the ideal natural fixative for high-end oriental, woody and floral perfumes.
Description
It is natural sesquiterpene lactone extracted from clary sage (Salvia sclarea), white crystalline powder with melting point 124–126°C and purity ≥98%. Soluble in ethanol, DPG and perfume oils, nearly insoluble in water. It delivers soft warm woody-amber aroma mixed with mild musk, subtle tobacco and faint sweet balsamic undertones, featuring outstanding thermal and pH stability.
Function
Premium natural long-lasting fixative, greatly slows evaporation of volatile top and heart notes, scent can sustain over 100 hours on skin and fabrics.
