Product Description

This coal rotary dryer design and capacity calculation solution is a full-set professional technical service tailored for industrial coal drying projects. It covers the whole process from core parameter demonstration, structural optimization design to accurate capacity verification, and is applicable to different coal types (raw coal, lignite, coal slime, washed clean coal, etc.) and various production scale demands. The final designed equipment has a processing capacity range of 0.5-40 tons per hour, which can stably meet the continuous 24-hour operation requirements of coal washing plants, power plants and coal processing enterprises, and effectively avoid the problems of insufficient capacity, low thermal efficiency or over-design and energy waste caused by unreasonable parameter selection.

Working Principle

The design and calculation process follows the mature industrial drying logic:

  1. First, confirm the basic input parameters: initial moisture of raw coal, target final moisture, hourly processing capacity demand, selected heat source type and on-site ambient conditions.

  2. Calculate the total amount of moisture that needs to be evaporated per hour according to the material mass conservation rule.

  3. Combined with the volumetric evaporation intensity standard of 3.26 pounds of moisture evaporated per hour per cubic foot of the main drum volume, calculate the required effective volume of the rotary drum.

  4. Match the reasonable drum diameter, length, inclination angle, rotating speed and the structure form of lifting flights, and verify the material residence time and heat exchange efficiency.

  5. Finally, check the thermal efficiency (the thermal efficiency of direct heat coal rotary dryer can reach 50%-75%) and the air flow speed in the drum (controlled between 0.25-2.5 m/s) to ensure that the designed capacity can operate stably under long-term working conditions.
