Product Overview
A Flotation Coal Concentrate Dryer is a specialized thermal drying system engineered specifically to dewater ultra-fine flotation coal concentrate, coal slurry, and filter cakes produced during mineral flotation processes. Because flotation concentrate consists of extremely fine particles mixed with high surface moisture, standard dryers often suffer from clogging or heavy dust loss. This system combines efficient heat transfer with advanced de-dusting to yield a dry, free-flowing, high-value clean coal product.
Working Principle
Dispersion & Feed: High-moisture flotation coal cake enters a closed drying chamber (e.g., rotary paddle, indirect steam tube, or fluidized bed dryer) fitted with specialized agitators or flighting to break up fine, cohesive lumps.
Thermal Evaporation: Hot air, indirect steam, or flue gas heats the dispersed fine particles. Moisture rapidly evaporates at controlled process temperatures without degrading the coal’s volatile matter.
High-Efficiency Dust Capture: As the dry concentrate is continuously discharged, a multi-stage dust collection system (combining high-efficiency cyclones and heavy-duty baghouses) captures 99%+ of the fine coal dust, returning it to the product stream to eliminate material loss.
