Product Introduction
The HOERBIGER S9 switching valve is a piezoelectric-pneumatic switching valve introduced by HOERBIGER. It is suitable for systems with single-valve or valve-array installations and is a mainstream product in the field of explosion-proof automation.
The S29 piezoelectric switching valve is designed for installation on pneumatic valve actuators (rotary and linear).
In explosive environments involving distributed automation, HOERBIGER’s intrinsically safe piezoelectric control valves significantly outperform solenoid valves. Not only do they provide superior explosion protection, but they also allow for hot-swapping, enabling replacement during operation.
HOERBIGER’s piezoelectric technology forms the basis of this unique selling proposition. Piezoelectric-pneumatic control valves have low power requirements, are intrinsically safe, and are ATEX-certified, making them the preferred choice for gas, dust, and explosion-proof applications. Additionally, they feature a long service life. Thanks to their compact size, our control valves can be integrated into a wide range of applications. We also offer a variety of electrical interface options.
Performance Features
Intrinsically Safe ATEX Explosion-Proof: Meets Zone 0 explosion-proof standards, compatible with safety barriers, supports hot-swapping while powered, and allows for valve body replacement without interrupting operation
No Self-Heating: The piezoelectric drive generates no coil heat, enabling stable operation at full load (100% duty cycle) for extended periods, with up to 6,000 hours of continuous, uninterrupted operation
Ultra-Low Power Consumption: Piezoelectric power consumption is significantly lower than that of solenoid valves, requiring lower supply voltage in explosion-proof circuits
Rugged Industrial-Grade Construction: Aluminum alloy valve body, IP65 protection rating, and suitable for installation in any orientation
