Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) grating is a polyester plate with many regularly distributed rectangular and square spaces, which is made by the molding process and has the mechanical characteristics of bidirectional isotropy. It can be widely used in the working platforms, equipment platforms, drilling platforms, walkways, etc. in industries such as petroleum, chemical electronics, electric power, paper industry, printing and dyeing, electroplating, ocean exploration, and sewage treatment. Advantages of FRP grating:
Lightweight: Its specific gravity is about 1.8, and its weight is only 1/4 of that of steel and 2/3 of that of aluminum.
High strength: Its strength is ten times that of rigid polyvinyl chloride, greater than that of aluminum, and reaches the level of ordinary steel.
Corrosion-resistant: Polyester type is a non-metallic material. It does not rust, mildew, or rot, does not need painting, and can resist the corrosion of many gas and liquid media. Easy to install: The weight of components is greatly reduced by polyester grating, so the weight of the supporting structure is reduced. No lifting equipment is needed during installation, which is both economical and convenient.
Safety: It has the characteristics of flame retardancy and insulation. No sparks will be generated due to collision during the installation and use of polyester grating, which is suitable for use in flammable and explosive environments.
