The switch is an optical switching device built on a silicon platform, featuring one input port and four output ports. It can rapidly and precisely route optical signals from a single input port to any of the four output ports, enabling flexible optical path reconfiguration. Thanks to the transparency of silicon in the communication wavelength band and its excellent electrical properties, the silicon-based high-speed 1x4 optical switch offers significant advantages in integration density, response speed, and power consumption control.
