A Photovoltaic (PV) Roll Forming Machine is a specialized cold-bending equipment used to manufacture color steel PV integrated tiles for Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV). Main Functions & Applications
The primary function of a PV roll forming machine is to process metal roofing panels with specific wave peaks and mounting rail slots. This design enables "rail-free and fixture-free" rapid installation of PV modules. The resulting PV integrated tiles are easy to install, provide thermal insulation, generate electricity, and offer high corrosion resistance. Under sunlight, they convert light energy into electrical energy through the photovoltaic effect.
Production Process
The automated workflow from raw material to finished product typically involves the following steps:
Uncoiling & Leveling: The metal coil is unwound and fed into the machine, passing through a leveling system to eliminate warping and surface irregularities.
Roll Forming: The material passes through a series of precision rollers that gradually press it into the required roof panel cross-section and wave patterns.
Precision Cutting: A servo-driven cutting system precisely trims the formed panel to the desired length, ensuring clean edges.
Automatic Stacking: Finished panels are automatically stacked, facilitating subsequent packaging, transportation, and on-site construction.
