It belongs to the differential contact counter - current type, and the packing in the tower body is the basic component for the contact between the gas and liquid phases. It can provide a large enough surface area without causing excessive resistance to the gas - liquid flow. The absorbent is the main medium for treating waste gas. Its nature and concentration are selected according to the nature of different waste gases. The consumption of the absorbent per unit of gas is determined by calculating the ratio of the molar flow rate of the absorbent to the inert gas.
The waste gas is sucked in by the air duct and passes through the packing layer from bottom to top; the circulating absorbent is evenly sprayed into the packing layer through the liquid distributor at the top of the tower and flows down along the surface of the packing layer into the circulating water tank. Due to the continuous contact between the rising gas flow and the descending absorbent in the packing, the concentration of the substances in the rising gas flow becomes lower and lower, and meets the emission requirements when reaching the top of the tower.
