Detailed Product Description of Angle Steel
1. Product Overview
Angle steel, commonly known as angle iron, is a long steel section with a cross-section formed by two sides perpendicular to each other at 90 degrees. It is mainly divided into Equal Angle Steel and Unequal Angle Steel. It is one of the most widely used profiles in building steel structures, support frames, equipment bases, storage shelves and curtain wall projects. It features good material toughness, easy cutting, welding, punching and installation, with extensive applications and high cost performance.
2. Product Classification
Equal Angle SteelBoth sides have the same width. Specifications are expressed as side width × side thickness, such as 50×5, 63×6, 75×7. It has the strongest versatility, widely used in factory supports, steel structure frames, fences and storage shelves.
Unequal Angle SteelThe two sides have different widths, such as 63×40×5, 80×50×6. It is suitable for asymmetric stress structures, mechanical equipment bases and bridge auxiliary components.
By Production Process
Hot rolled angle steel: standard national specification, regular dimension and stable material, commonly used in engineering.
Cold rolled / punched angle steel: mainly used for storage shelves, photovoltaic supports and finished accessories.
Galvanized angle steel: pickled and hot-dip galvanized from black steel, with rust and corrosion resistance, specially used for outdoor, curtain wall and power engineering.

4. Common Material Grade
Q235B: Ordinary carbon structural steel with good toughness and weldability, commonly used in civil buildings, factory buildings and general supports.
Q355B: Low-alloy high-strength steel with high bearing capacity and strong impact resistance, applied to large steel structures, heavy industry equipment and bridge engineering.Available surface treatments: raw black steel, hot-dip galvanized and painted.
