High Pressure Boiler Tube Product Detailed Description

1. Product Overview

High pressure boiler tube is a kind of seamless steel pipe complying with GB/T 5310-2023 standard. It is specially designed for high pressure (≥9.8MPa) and high temperature (450–650℃) boilers and power station equipment. It is mainly used for conveying high-temperature and high-pressure steam, featuring high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance, creep resistance, oxidation & corrosion resistance and stable microstructure.

2. Execution Standards

  • Domestic Standard: GB/T 5310-2023 Seamless Steel Tubes for High Pressure Boilers

  • International Standards: ASTM A335 (P Series), EN 10216-2, DIN 17175

  • Applicable Working Condition: High pressure / Ultra-high pressure / Subcritical / Supercritical boiler systems with working pressure ≥9.8MPa and temperature above 480℃.

3. Main Materials & Grades

Carbon Structural Steel

  • 20G / 20MnG: Applicable temperature ≤480℃, pressure ≤10MPa; Tensile strength 410–550MPa; For water wall and economizer of medium & high pressure boilers.

Low Alloy Heat Resistant Steel

  • 15CrMoG: Service temperature 500–540℃, pressure 10–14MPa; Excellent creep resistance; Used for superheater, reheater and steam pipeline.

  • 12Cr1MoVG: Service temperature 540–570℃, pressure 17–20MPa; Optimal high-temperature strength and toughness; Core pipe for subcritical power units.

High Alloy Martensitic Steel

  • P91 (10Cr9MoW2VNb): Service temperature 580–600℃, pressure 24–28MPa; Applied to main steam pipe and reheater pipe of supercritical units.

  • P92: Service temperature ≥600℃, pressure 28–35MPa; Higher stress rupture strength than P91; Suitable for ultra-supercritical power stations.

Stainless Heat Resistant Steel

  • 304H / 347H: Service temperature 600–650℃; Good resistance to sulfur and chlorine corrosion; For high-temperature heating surfaces in corrosive medium.

  • Surface Finish: Hot rolled black finish, Cold drawn bright finish, Internally ribbed tube for heat transfer enhancement

5. Production Process

  1. Smelting: Electric arc furnace + LF/VD refining, strictly control impurity elements (S≤0.015%, P≤0.020%).

  2. Pipe Making: Continuous casting round billet → Hot rolling piercing → Cold rolling / Cold drawing sizing → Heat treatment (Normalizing & Tempering).

  3. Heat Treatment:

  • 20G / 15CrMoG: Normalizing + Tempering

  • 12Cr1MoVG: 980–1020℃ Normalizing + 720–760℃ Tempering

  • P91: 1040–1080℃ Normalizing + 750–780℃ Tempering

  • Inspection: Hydrostatic test per piece (Test pressure ≥20MPa), NDT inspection (UT/MT/ET), mechanical property and metallographic inspection.

  • 6. Application

    • Power Station Boiler: Superheater tube, Reheater tube, Main steam pipe, Economizer tube, Water wall tube.

    • Industrial Boiler: High pressure steam boiler, Waste heat boiler, Incineration boiler heating surface and steam pipeline.

    • Other Fields: Petrochemical high temperature & high pressure reactor, Nuclear power conventional island steam system, Coal chemical high pressure pipeline.
