**E309H-16**

Description: a rutile-coated stainless steel electrode. Thanks to the controlled lower limit of carbon content, the weld metal exhibits high tensile strength and creep strength at elevated temperatures, along with excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and crack resistance. This electrode is suitable for both DC and AC welding, with excellent arc stability in AC mode. It features low spatter, good bead appearance, and excellent all-position welding performance.

Application:

Used for welding similar grades of stainless steel, stainless steel linings, and dissimilar steels. It is particularly suitable for welding forgings and castings of 24Cr12Ni steel that require high corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance.

Precautions:

1. Electrodes must be baked at 300–350℃ for 1 hour before use, and used immediately after removal from the oven.

2. DC reverse polarity (DC⁺) is recommended whenever possible, as AC power results in shallower weld penetration.

3. Use the minimum possible welding current and maintain a short arc during welding; the weave width should not exceed 2.5 times the electrode diameter.

4. Remove oil, moisture, and other contaminants from the workpiece before welding.
