High Quality Graphite Recarburizer Calcined Anthracite Coal
Petroleum coke is a product produced after crude oil is distilled to separate light and heavy oil, and then the heavy oil is transformed through a thermal cracking process. From the appearance, the coke is a black block (or particle) with irregular shape and different sizes and granular, it has a metallic luster, and the coke particles have a porous structure. Petroleum coke is a black or dark gray hard solid petroleum product that is porous. It is a carbon body composed of granular, columnar, or needle-shaped crystals of tiny graphite. Petroleum coke is composed of hydrocarbons. The main element is carbon, with a carbon content of 90-97% and hydrogen 1.5-8%. It also contains nitrogen, chlorine, sulfur and heavy metals. Petroleum coke is cheap and has high carbon content.
Introduction to calcined petroleum coke CPC and graphitized petroleum coke GPC:
Calcined coke is mainly used to produce graphite electrodes, carbon paste products, diamond sand, food-grade phosphorus industry, metallurgical industry, calcium carbide, etc. Among them, graphite electrodes are the most widely used. Petroleum coke calcination is a primary processing of raw materials and is a necessary process for producing graphite electrodes.
Graphitized petroleum coke is to convert petroleum coke into a hexagonal layered crystalline carbon crystal at a high temperature of about 3000 degrees in a graphitization furnace, that is, petroleum coke becomes graphite. This process is called graphitization. Petroleum coke processed through the graphitization process is called graphitized petroleum coke.

Difference of CPC Calcined Petroleum Coke and GPC Graphitized Petroleum Coke
| Appearance | In appearance, the calcined coke has an irregular shape, while the graphitized petroleum coke has a darker and brighter color. |
| Application | Graphitized petroleum coke and calcined petroleum coke are used in steel smelting and casting manufacturing industries, but graphitized petroleum coke has the advantages of low sulfur, low nitrogen and high carbon compared with calcined coke, and the metal luster is stronger. |
| Manufacturing technique | Graphitized petroleum coke is produced when the internal structure changes at a high temperature of about 3000 degrees, and the temperature of calcined coke is about 1300 degrees. |
The difference between CPC Calcined Petroleum Coke Recarburizer and GPC Graphitized Petroleum Coke Carburant
| Raw Materials | petroleum coke |
| Smelting Environment | Graphitized carburizer is produced in graphitized smelting furnace at a temperature of about 3000 ° C |
| The post-calcined petroleum coke carburizer is produced at a temperature of more than 1500 ºC in the smelting furnace after forging | |
|
Fixed Carbon Content |
Graphitized carburizer fixed carbon is generally about 98%, the highest can reach 99% |
| The fixed carbon of calcined petroleum coke carburizer is generally about 98.5%. | |
| Sulfur Content | The sulfur content of graphitization carburizer is generally between 0.03-0.06%, and generally 0.05% is more. The absorption rate is generally between 90% and 95%. |
| The sulfur content of calcined petroleum coke carburizer is generally about 0.5%. The absorption rate is generally between 80% and 90%. | |
|
Smelting Time |
The smelting environment of graphitized carburizer is longer than that of calcined petroleum coke carburizer |
