Carbon raiser is a big category that includes calcined petroleum coke(CPC), graphite petroleum coke(GPC), calcined anthracite coal(CAC), and natural graphite. Due to the high price of natural graphite, it is not suitable for steelmaking or casting, so calcined petroleum coke, graphite petroleum coke, and calcined coal are more suitable for the current steelmaking and casting process.
Petroleum Coke is a carbon-rich dense material that is one of the leading products which we can extract from crude oil. Petcoke (as it is commonly known) has over 85% carbon and consequently a much larger emission than coal. It is a rich source of carbon dioxide, and therefore we can use it in a lot of industries, especially for as a fuel source for power generation.
