1.Product Overview
Our ANSI Y-Type Strainer is a high-performance industrial filtration device designed to remove solid impurities from pipeline media, protecting downstream valves, pumps, meters, and other equipment from damage. With an advanced structure featuring low flow resistance and easy maintenance, it is ideal for water, oil, steam, and other general industrial media. Typically installed upstream of pressure relief valves, pressure reducing valves, and control valves, it ensures the clean operation of pipeline systems and extends the service life of critical equipment. Cleaning is extremely convenient: simply remove the filter screen, clean the trapped impurities, and reinstall it, minimizing downtime and maintenance costs.

4. Material & Structure Introduction
4.1 Main Component Materials
Body & Bonnet: Made of high-strength ASTM A126B cast iron or ASTM A536 65-45-12 ductile iron, with excellent pressure resistance and corrosion resistance, suitable for long-term use in industrial pipelines.
Filter Screen: Precision-machined 2Cr13, SS304, or SS316 stainless steel mesh, with uniform pore size and high filtration accuracy, effectively intercepting solid impurities without affecting media flow.
Plug & Gasket: Durable ASTM A126B plug and multi-type gaskets (graphite, EPDM, NBR) ensure reliable sealing under different temperature and pressure conditions, preventing media leakage.
4.2 Working Principle
The Y-Type Strainer is installed in the pipeline in a Y-shaped structure. When the medium flows through the strainer, the solid impurities are intercepted by the filter screen, and the clean medium flows out from the outlet. The trapped impurities are collected in the screen chamber, which can be cleaned regularly by removing the bonnet and screen, ensuring continuous and efficient filtration.
