When selecting cables for fire protection lines, the voltage drop index should be considered. Voltage drop occurs when the cable is in operation, which is caused by the cable and impedance. The impedance of the cable conductor is the vector sum of the DC resistance and AC reactance of the conductor. Among them, the DC resistance is much larger than the AC reactance, and sometimes the influence of the AC impedance can even be ignored. When the temperature changes, the AC reactance of the cable changes little, while the DC resistance increases with the increase of temperature.
