Guangdong Shuangli's cross-linked polyethylene insulated cables use chemical or physical methods to transform the polyethylene molecules in the cable insulation from a linear molecular structure to a three-dimensional network molecular structure. That is, the thermoplastic polyethylene is transformed into thermosetting cross-linked polyethylene, which greatly improves its heat resistance and mechanical properties, reduces its shrinkage, prevents it from melting after being heated, and maintains excellent electrical properties.
Shuangli's cross-linked polyethylene insulated cables are manufactured in accordance with the national standard GB/T12706 - 2008 or the International Electrotechnical Commission IEC60502, as well as standards such as BS, AS, DIN, NZS, and ANS. The products are suitable for laying on power transmission and distribution lines with a rated voltage of (UO/U) 0.6/1KV and below.
Shuangli's cross-linked polyethylene insulated cables have four major properties:
1. Heat resistance: XLPE with a network three-dimensional structure has excellent heat resistance. It will not decompose or carbonize below 300°C, and can work at a long - term temperature of up to 90°C, with a thermal life of up to 40 years.
2. Insulation performance: XLPE maintains the original good insulation characteristics of PE, and its insulation resistance is further increased. Its dielectric loss tangent value is very small and is not greatly affected by temperature.
3. Mechanical properties: Due to the establishment of new chemical bonds between macromolecules, the hardness, stiffness, wear resistance and impact resistance of XLPE are all improved, thus making up for the shortcoming of PE being prone to cracking due to environmental stress.
4. Chemical resistance: XLPE has strong resistance to acids, alkalis and oils. Its combustion products are mainly water and carbon dioxide, which cause less harm to the environment and meet the requirements of modern fire safety.
