1、 Core Features
Due to its composite material structure, fiberglass desulfurization pipes have the following outstanding properties, which can meet the demanding transportation requirements of desulfurization slurry:
Excellent corrosion resistance: The pipeline lining is usually made of epoxy vinyl resin, which can effectively resist the corrosion of sulfides, fluorides, chloride ions, and acid-base media contained in the desulfurization slurry.
Good wear resistance: By adding wear-resistant fillers (such as silicon carbide) during the manufacturing process and forming a smooth inner surface, it can withstand the erosion and wear of limestone or gypsum particles in the slurry.
Light weight and high strength: Its density is about 1/4 of steel, but high mechanical strength can be obtained through reasonable fiber winding design, making it easy to transport and install.
Heat resistance and thermal shock resistance: The resin system used gives it good temperature resistance, a wide working temperature range, and the ability to withstand certain temperature fluctuations.
Not easy to scale and has low fluid resistance: the inner wall is smooth with low roughness, reducing the adhesion and flow resistance of the slurry.
2、 Main application scenarios
In wet desulfurization systems, fiberglass desulfurization pipes are mainly used in two key areas:
Internal spray layer of desulfurization tower (absorption tower): As a slurry circulation pipeline (spray pipe), the slurry is evenly distributed to the nozzle, forming a mist to efficiently absorb SO ₂ in the flue gas. The requirements for such pipelines are particularly strict,
It needs to meet the requirements of corrosion resistance, wear resistance, resistance to slurry erosion, and certain pressure bearing capacity at the same time.
External slurry conveying system: used to connect pumps, tanks and other equipment to transport limestone slurry, gypsum slurry, etc. In this scenario, it is one of the ideal alternative materials for traditional pipelines such as lined carbon steel pipes.
3、 Product specifications and structure
Fiberglass desulfurization pipes can be customized according to engineering requirements, with a wide range of specifications covering:
Diameter range: typically from DN15/DN25 to DN4000 or even larger.
Pressure rating: Commonly available are 0.25MPa, 0.6MPa, 1.0MPa, etc., and some products can withstand higher pressures.
Length: The common length of a single pipeline is 3 meters, 6 meters, 9 meters, 12 meters, etc.
Typical structure: The pipeline wall is often designed as a multi-layer composite structure, which generally includes:
Wear resistant/anti-corrosion layer: The innermost layer, rich in resin and added with wear-resistant materials, directly contacts the medium and provides the main anti-corrosion and wear-resistant functions.
Reinforcement layer: The middle layer is composed of continuous fiber winding and mainly bears the internal pressure and external load of the pipeline.
Outer protective layer: The outermost layer that provides additional environmental protection.
