GRE pipeline (fiberglass reinforced epoxy resin pipeline) is a composite material pipeline made of high-strength glass fiber and epoxy resin through a special winding process. It has significant advantages such as corrosion resistance, high strength, light weight, and long service life, and is widely used in industrial fields such as ships, offshore platforms, oil fields, and chemical industries
The core characteristics of GRE pipeline:
Corrosion resistance: It can effectively resist corrosion from seawater, freshwater, various chemicals, and sewage environments.
High strength and lightweight: The strength is equivalent to steel, but the weight is only about 24% of steel pipes, making it easy to install and not requiring heavy machinery.
Applicable fields: mainly used for ballast, cooling, drinking water, fire protection systems, high-pressure transmission pipelines in oil fields, and chemical transportation of ships and offshore platforms.
Special performance: meets fire resistance requirements, and can be treated with fireproof coating for special needs.
Specification range: The diameter is usually between 25mm and 1000mm (1 inch to 40 inches), and the working pressure can adapt to different needs.
Due to its excellent cost-effectiveness, GRE pipes are widely regarded as an ideal alternative to traditional metal pipes.
