CerTack 90 is a high-strength advanced cellulose non-woven fabric with single-sided heat-sensitive adhesive. It is used for hot-pressing and laminating on the back of wood veneer to enhance the strength, improve the flexibility, and reduce the processing difficulty of the wood veneer.
CerTack 90 has high viscosity and high tear resistance, and is especially suitable for the production and processing of automotive interior wood veneer (INS process injection molding).
Carrier
The carrier is mainly a cellulose floc paper non-woven fabric composed of long fibers, mixed with synthetic fibers and latex adhesives to enhance tear resistance and flexibility.
Single-sided heat-sensitive adhesive
The heat-sensitive adhesive uses water-soluble glue, which is environmentally friendly and formaldehyde-free. A heat-resistant and waterproof combination will be formed through sufficient temperature and pressure. The closed glue surface after hot-pressing will prevent water from seeping in and dissolving.
Processing
Only hot-pressing is required to firmly bond CerTack 90 and the wood veneer together without the need for additional glue. The hot-pressing temperature is 160°C – 250°C. The hot-pressing time depends on the temperature. The higher the temperature, the shorter the time should be, and vice versa. The higher the hot-pressing pressure, the better.
For automotive interiors, we recommend a hot-pressing temperature of 180°C, a pressure of over 12 kg/cm², and a hot-pressing time of 30 – 60 seconds; or 160°C, a pressure of over 12 kg/cm², and a hot-pressing time of 60 - 120 seconds.
Note 1: This data is from our own experience and is for reference only. Since the hot-pressing temperature and pressure requirements of different types and specifications of wood veneers are different, we believe it is very necessary for users to conduct their own tests to obtain appropriate data.
Note 2: Due to the thickness error of the wood veneer, we recommend adding cushioning materials (3 - 6mm deck or MDF) during hot-pressing or hot-pressing several pieces of wood veneer at the same time.

Storage
It is advisable to store in a cool and dry environment, and the storage period should be within 12 months. It can be stored briefly at 50°C.
