The Woodward 5453-278 is a 12-slot expansion chassis for MicroNet systems, designed for mounting remote transceivers and I/O modules. It is suitable for distributed control and signal acquisition in turbine/power generation systems. Currently, it is primarily used for spare parts replacement and expansion of existing systems; development for new applications is not recommended.

Core Performance

Slot Configuration and Expansion Capabilities

Includes 12 XCVR/RTN - I/O slots, accommodating one remote transceiver (RTN) module and 11 I/O modules. Redundant RTN modules are not supported. Suitable for distributed I/O expansion needs.

Equipped with 2 power module mounting positions, supporting redundant 24V DC input for improved power supply reliability. Each power module occupies 3 slots, resulting in a total chassis width equivalent to 18 slots.

Cooling and Installation

Forced air cooling design. Slots without installed modules require blind flanges to ensure airflow. Suitable for standard industrial rack mounting, compliant with EMI/EMC and safety regulations.

Compatible with MicroNet series I/O and communication modules, supports hot-swapping, maintenance without downtime, and suitable for harsh industrial conditions.

Compatibility and Power Supply: Adapts to the MicroNet system bus, enabling seamless communication with controllers and remote modules, ensuring stable data transmission.

Adapts to MicroNet standard 24V DC power modules, supports redundant power supply, adapts to fluctuating power grid environments, and has strong anti-interference capabilities.
