Woodward MRR1-D Protection relay
The MRR1-D is a multi-functional generator rotor protection relay from the Woodward High Tech Line series. It integrates three core protections: rotor grounding fault, over/under current excitation, and rotating diode fault. It is compatible with synchronous generator/motor rotor systems of 1MVA and above, and features high-resistance grounding detection, isolated excitation current measurement, and remote communication capabilities. It is widely used in power plants, industrial power generation, and marine power plants, primarily for in-service system spare parts maintenance.
Core Performance: Protection Functions and Measurement Capabilities
Rotor Grounding Protection: 0.5Hz test frequency, capable of detecting high and low resistance grounding faults; dual-stage insulation resistance (alarm/trip) independent setting; measurement input with short-circuit/overvoltage protection.
Excitation Current Monitoring: Hall sensor isolated measurement (0-20A DC), supports overcurrent/undercurrent/ripple detection (rotating diode fault), independent current and delay settings, real-time display of excitation current.
Fault Classification Response: 2 trip relays (excitation current/diode fault), 2 alarm relays, supports protection function interlocking and programmable output relay allocation, adaptable to different protection logics. Electrical and Communication
