Process flow
Seamless Elbow: An elbow is a type of pipe fitting used at the turn of a pipe. It accounts for the largest proportion of all pipe fittings used in the pipeline system, about 80%. Typically, different forming processes are chosen for elbows of different materials or wall thicknesses. Seamless elbow forming processes commonly used in manufacturing plants include hot pushing, stamping, extrusion, etc.
Hot Push Forming The hot push elbow forming process is a process in which the billet sleeved on the mold moves forward under the push of the pushing machine, and is heated, expanded and bent in motion.
The deformation of the hot push elbow is to determine the diameter of the pipe billet according to the law of the unchanged volume before and after the plastic deformation of the metal material, and the diameter of the pipe billet used is less than the diameter of the elbow.
The hot push elbow forming process has the characteristics of beautiful appearance, uniform wall thickness and continuous operation, and is suitable for mass production, so it has become the main forming method of carbon steel and alloy steel elbows, and is also used in the forming of stainless steel elbows of certain specifications.
The heating methods of the forming process include medium frequency or high frequency induction heating (the heating circle can be multiple or single turns), flame heating and reverberatory furnace heating, and the heating method used depends on the requirements of the forming product and the energy situation.
