Product Description
A plate heat exchanger is a highly efficient heat exchange device that utilizes plates and sealing gaskets within the plate heat exchanger to transfer heat between two different media. The plates are typically made of metal materials such as stainless steel or titanium alloy, and their surfaces often feature a series of grooves and protrusions to increase the heat exchange area.
As the two media flow through the two different channels of the plate heat exchanger, they form a very thin heat
exchange interface on the plate surface. Heat is transferred from one medium to the other, achieving heat transfer. Furthermore, the sealing gaskets within the plate heat exchanger ensure complete isolation between the two media, preventing cross-contamination.

A plate heat exchanger primarily consists of heat transfer plates, sealing gaskets, fixed and movable pressure plates, clamping bolts, and end inlet and outlet pipes. The heat transfer plates are the core component, with a corrugated design that increases heat transfer area and fluid turbulence. Sealing gaskets prevent fluid leakage. The fixed and movable pressure plates are clamped together by clamping bolts, forming flow channels. End inlet and outlet pipes connect to external piping, guiding fluid in and out of the heat exchanger.

The process flow of a plate heat exchanger is as follows: The cold and hot fluids enter the heat exchanger at either end and flow in parallel or countercurrent within the plate channels separated by sealing gaskets.
The fluids create intense turbulence within the narrow and complex channels between the plates, effectively disrupting the boundary layer and efficiently transferring heat from the high-temperature fluid to the low-temperature fluid through the metal plates.
After the heat exchange is complete, the two media exit through the other outlet. This process is compact, highly efficient, and allows for rapid temperature control, making it suitable for a variety of industrial and residential applications, including district heating, refrigeration, chemical processing, and food and beverage.
