Product Description:

When a microaerophilic gas generating bag is placed in a sealed jar, the oxygen in the air inside the jar is rapidly absorbed and carbon dioxide is generated, creating a suitable microaerophilic environment;

This new method is different from other traditional methods. It does not produce hydrogen, so no catalyst is required, and the reaction does not require adding water;

Experiments have shown that comparing the microaerophilic gas generating bag with the evacuation/replacement method and gas generating devices proves that the microaerophilic gas generating bag is effective.

Each gas generating bag is individually packaged in aluminum foil. There are 10 gas generating bags in a pack, and the active ingredient is ascorbic acid.

Precautions:

The gas generating pack inside the aluminum foil will react immediately upon contact with air. Therefore, it is necessary to unpack it inside the jar and close the lid within 1 minute after unpacking;

The reaction between ascorbic acid and oxygen is exothermic, but the temperature of the gas generating pack will not exceed 65°C. conditions:

2-25℃, use before the expiration date on the packaging.

Usage guide:

1. Place the petri dishes to be cultured in a 2.5L jar, not in a 3.5L jar. The disposable petri dishes used should allow gas exchange inside and outside the petri dish.

2. Tear open the aluminum foil packaging of the gas-generating pack inside the anaerobic jar and take out the aluminum foil paper from the anaerobic jar.

3. Immediately place the gas-generating pack on the gas-generating bag clip of the 2.5L anaerobic jar. The gas-generating pack will heat up once it comes into contact with air.

4. Immediately close the lid. The time from tearing open the aluminum foil packaging of the gas-generating pack to closing the lid should not exceed 1 minute.

5. Conduct the culture in a suitable incubator.

6. After a culture cycle is completed, take out the petri dishes and observe the colony morphology. If further culture is required, use a new carbon dioxide gas-generating bag and repeat steps 2-5 above.

7. After the culture is completed, after the gas-generating pack has cooled to room temperature, the carbon dioxide gas-generating pack must be sterilized and discarded in the special non-hazardous waste bin in the laboratory.

Validation test:

Users need to regularly check their microaerophilic reaction systems to ensure that they can provide sufficient and appropriate production conditions for the relevant bacteria.

Campylobacter jejuni ATCC33291, Campylobacter jejuni ATCC® 33291 can be used for this test.
