Sandman® 12 inch Tungsten Carbide Block Impeller for Mission Magnum 6x5x14 Centrifugal Pumps, the TC blocks impeller withstands the sands in drilling mud at any impingement angle.
Sandman® Mission centrifugal pumps are high-performance pumps widely used in oil and gas drilling, mud circulation, frac operations, and abrasive slurry handling. The impeller with tungsten carbide block coating refers to a thermal-sprayed protective layer of tungsten carbide applied to the impeller surface, forming a hard, dense barrier against erosion, abrasion, cavitation, and corrosion. This block style contain the rough hard solids, rather than embedded inserts, providing gas-tight protection even at thin thicknesses.
The TC coatings extend impeller life by 5–10 times in abrasive conditions, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
