Packaging and Storage of Tongdun Ionic Interlayer Film
Packaging: The inner packaging uses an aluminized film for vacuum packaging, and the outer packaging uses a wooden box. Both the inner and outer packages are attached with product information certificates.
Storage: It should be stored in a cool and dry place, stored below 30℃, and avoid direct sunlight. If the package is opened or damaged, it should be placed in a constant temperature dehumidification room with a temperature of 18~25℃ and a relative humidity of less than 25% and used as soon as possible.
Transportation: Avoid sunlight, rain, heavy pressure, and severe vibration during transportation.
Shelf life: The normal storage shelf life is two years. After opening the package, it can be stored for 3 months in a constant temperature dehumidification room with a temperature of 18~25℃ and a relative humidity of less than 25%.
Performance Introduction of Tongdun Ionic Interlayer Film
The ionic interlayer film is an ionic film of a copolymer of ethylene and methacrylate, containing a trace amount of sodium metal ions. The bonding force between this film and glass is mainly the result of ionic bond action. Therefore, the bonding force between the ionic interlayer film and glass is much higher than that between PVB film and glass, and its hardness is 100 times tougher than that of traditional PVB interlayer materials, and the tear strength is 5 times that of PVB interlayer materials.
The ionic interlayer film developed by Tongdun has high bonding performance, optical performance, and mechanical performance, which can fully meet the needs of the laminated safety glass industry for interlayer films. Compared with PVB film, the laminated glass with ionomer film has the following characteristics:
● Higher strength
The laminated glass with Tongdun ionomer film has higher bending strength compared with the laminated glass with PVB film. Under the same glass structure and thickness, it has higher load and wind pressure resistance.
● Lower deflection and larger equivalent glass thickness
Due to its high strength, in architectural design, under the same deflection requirement, the laminated glass with Tongdun ionomer film can be realized with a smaller glass thickness. It is beneficial to reduce the weight of the glass and the weight of the entire support system.
● Better post - breakage safety.
The ionomer film has higher tensile strength and tear strength, and its laminated glass still has strong support after breakage.
● Better optical performance.
The ionomer film has higher light transmittance, lower haze, and a low yellow index. After being compounded with ultra - clear glass, it has higher transparency and visual effects.
Due to the increased bearing capacity and reduced deflection, the thickness of the glass can be correspondingly reduced. It is possible to reduce the glass usage by about 40%, and correspondingly reduce the self-weight of the curtain wall. SGP Ionic Interlayer Film has high strength and shear modulus, with excellent mechanical properties. Its shear modulus is more than 50 times that of ordinary PVB, and its tear strength is 5 times higher than that of ordinary PVB. After laminating with SGP film, when the glass is under stress, the adhesive layer between the two pieces of glass basically does not slide, and the two pieces of glass work as a single-piece glass of the same thickness. In this way, the bearing capacity is twice that of ordinary PVB laminated glass of the same thickness; at the same time, under the same load and the same thickness, the bending deflection of SGP laminated glass is only 1 / 4 of that of ordinary PVB laminated glass. Due to the increased bearing capacity and reduced deflection, the glass thickness can be correspondingly reduced. It is possible to reduce the glass usage by about 40%, and correspondingly reduce the self-weight of the curtain wall. It has good edge stability and can be used exposed without edge sealing:
Edge stability refers to the durability of the edge of laminated glass exposed to atmospheric conditions. PVB laminated glass is not resistant to moisture. It is easy to delaminate and separate under the action of water vapor, so edge sealing treatment is required for the exposed edges. In contrast, Tongdun SGP laminated glass has good edge stability and is not sensitive to moisture. It will not delaminate or separate when used under exposed conditions, so it can be used with open edges without edge sealing. Therefore, SGP laminated glass can be conveniently used for components with exposed edges such as balustrades, canopies, glass curtain walls, and glass sunshades without the need for special edge sealing measures.
After the glass is broken, it retains sufficient residual bearing capacity and will not fall off as a whole:
Ordinary PVB laminated glass, especially tempered laminated glass, will produce large bending deformation once the glass is broken, and there is a risk of the whole piece falling off. The risk is even greater when the glass is horizontally installed on a skylight. There have been cases of accidental incidents where the whole piece of glass fell. SGP interlayer film laminated glass has good integrity. Its tear strength is 5 times that of ordinary PVB interlayer film. Even if the glass is broken by accident, the SGP interlayer film can still bond the broken glass to form a temporary structure after damage. Its bending deformation is small, and it can still bear a certain amount of load without the whole piece falling. This greatly improves the safety of the glass.
It is colorless, transparent, not easy to change color, and has good transparency:
The SGP laminated film itself is colorless and transparent, and it has good weather resistance and is not easy to turn yellow. The yellowing coefficient of the SGP film is less than 1.5, while that of the PVB film is 6 - 12. Therefore, SGP laminated glass can better meet the architectural art requirements of architects. If ultra-clear glass (low-iron glass) and SGP interlayer film are used to make ultra-clear laminated glass, it will have a crystal-clear optical effect.
The mechanical properties of ionic interlayer film laminated glass:
The working performance of several pieces of glass stacked together depends on the mechanical properties of the interlayer (laminated film). If the shear modulus G and tear strength f of the laminated film are very small (ordinary PVB laminated glass), when the laminated glass is bent, the interlayer will produce a large amount of slip, and the glasses will slide relative to each other. In fact, the laminated film does not play the role of connecting the glasses into a whole. These pieces of glass seem to be stacked together, but in fact, they still work independently. The bearing capacity is only the sum of the individual bearing capacities of each piece of glass. On the contrary, if the shear modulus G and tear strength f of the laminated film are very high (SGP laminated glass), when the laminated glass is bent, the slip amount of the laminated film is extremely small. At this time, several pieces of glass can work together, just like a single piece of glass.
