Fluoroplastic Heat Exchanger Performance:

Fluoroplastic heat exchangers have excellent corrosion resistance and aging resistance. Due to their superior temperature resistance, they are suitable for both steam heating and hot water heating. The main advantage of fluoroplastic heat exchangers is their outstanding corrosion resistance. Being chemically inert materials, fluoroplastics can operate in almost all media except for elemental fluorine at high temperatures, molten alkali metal trifluorides, uranium hexafluoride, and perfluorinated oil. Examples of compatible media include concentrated hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid, oxalic acid, caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite, naphthalene, benzene, xylene, acetone, aqua regia, chlorine, toluene, and various organic solvents.

Fluoroplastic heat exchangers have good heat transfer performance. Because they use thin-walled tubes with thicknesses of only 0.7 mm, 0.8 mm, or 1 mm, this overcomes the low thermal conductivity drawback of fluoroplastic materials.

Fluoroplastic heat exchangers have low resistance. Due to the low friction coefficient, low roughness, and excellent lubricity of fluoroplastics, the fluid resistance within the tube bundle is lower compared to metal tubes.
