Product Overview
The Three-Dimensional Vegetation Net (also known as 3D Geomat, Erosion Control Mat, or Turf Reinforcement Mat) is a three-dimensional structure formed by thermally bonding multiple layers of plastic protrusion nets and high-strength planar nets. It is more than just a simple physical protection material; it serves as a "soil skeleton system" that provides a stable root zone for plant growth. Its core function is to achieve permanent ecological slope protection and erosion control through the composite action of the net pockets, plant roots, and soil.
Product Structure & Working Principle

Structure: Typically consists of 2 to 5 layers. The bottom layer is a base planar net providing strength;
the middle layers are wavy or curved protrusion nets, forming soil-retaining spaces 10-20mm high;
the top layer is a loose planar net for covering and initial fixation.

Material: Usually made from modified polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP), offering excellent corrosion resistance,
aging resistance, and environmental friendliness.
Working Principle:
Soil Fixation: The 3D structure effectively dissipates the impact of water flow, preventing surface soil particles from
being washed away by runoff.
Reinforcement: The mat layers mix with the soil, increasing the shear strength and overall stability of the soil mass.
Moisture Retention: The protruding net pockets act like numerous small containers, retaining water and moisture,
creating an optimal micro-environment for seed germination and seedling growth.
Root Reinforcement (Core Function): Plant roots penetrate the mat and intertwine tightly with the net filaments,
forming a "green composite protective layer" with high tensile strength. This achieves "flexible slope protection,"
with effectiveness increasing over time as vegetation establishes.
Main Product Types & Specifications
By Number of Layers: EM3 (3 layers), EM4 (4 layers), EM5 (5 layers). More layers mean larger pocket space and better protection,
with a correspondingly higher price.
By Weight & Thickness:
Standard Type: Approx. 260-430 g/m², 10-18mm thick. Suitable for general slopes.
Heavy-Duty/Reinforced Type: Higher weight, greater thickness (up to 20mm+), and higher tensile strength.
Suitable for steep slopes, high-velocity channels, or projects with special requirements.
By Color: Primarily black (common) and green (for better visual integration).
