DS2020PDMAG6 Noise-free power supply to the board HID2030
The DS2020PDMAG6 is a power distribution module that provides 125 V DC and 115 V AC power to Mark VI systems in all racks and terminal boards.
The DS2020PDMAG3 component is part of the Mark V Speedtronic system. It is also part of the EX2000 PWM digital voltage regulator system and is designed for brushless generator excitation systems. The regulator is designed to control the AC terminal voltage or control the magnetic field of a rotating brushless exciter. PT fault detection in this system requires two sets of PT inputs and provides automatic tracking between regulators (AC and DC) for bidirectional bump-free transmission. It is primarily used as a power distribution module weighing about 32 pounds before internal and external packing materials are added.
The power filter is used to enter the PDM using the customer's 125 V de and 115/230 V AC power supplies. One or two AC/DC converters with 125 V DC output are connected to the AC power supply via cable. To create a backup power supply, then connect the devoltage cable back to the PDM and diode connected to the main DC power supply. The VME rack and terminal board receive this power distribution. AC/DC converters can handle either 115 V or 230 V AC. For operation at 115 V or 230 V, the transformer cable must be plugged into JTX1 or JTX2. The PDM is used to collect diagnostic data, which is then linked to the terminal plate mounted on the DIN rail. After that, the cable passes through J301 to the VCMI in rack "R". The fuse and cable connected to the relay terminal board is AC feed J17-20. Interface (I/O) Cabinets, protection modules, TRPG, TREG, and TRLY all have fused and wired 125 V DC feeders. PDM is provided via a control power filter (CPF) that reduces EMI noise to ensure a noise-free power supply to the board.
