Equipment Function：
The equipment is intended for smoke alarm or smoke detectors sampling test. The smoke box is constructed typical sensitivity smoke test chamber construction as specified in appendix B of UL 217 8th editions or UL 268 similarly. It consists of the following items:
a) Outer Cabinet: constructed of exterior grade plywood according to standards dimension
b) Inner compartment: constructed of plywood according to standards dimension
c) Circulating fan: DC fan powered DC power supply
d) Exhaust fan: AC fan
e) Photocell: as standard recommended
f) Lamp: as standard recommended
g) Data acquisition device: Computer with National Instruments DAQ card
h) Aerosol generator: special design aerosol generator that can adjust build up rate and particle size to meet the UL 217 and UL 268 test profile.
i) Software: Zon-test Smoke box software.
The smoke box can be used to perform initial sensitivity test, directionality test, velocity- sensitivity test and other stability test with auxiliary equipment.
Note: The UL 217 and UL 268 standard required Measuring Ionization Chamber (MIC) to be included to monitoring smoke particles size. The MIC is not included in quotation if no specified but the mounting port and data acquisition connection port are reserved.
