  • Communication Interruption
    • Phenomenon: There is no data transmission between the module and the superior control system. The control system cannot obtain the signals collected by the module, nor can it issue control instructions to the module. The communication indicator of the module is in an abnormal state.

    • Possible Causes: The communication cable is loose or damaged, resulting in signal transmission interruption; the EtherCAT interface is in poor contact or damaged; the communication parameter settings are wrong, such as IP address, subnet mask, gateway, etc., which do not match the control system; the communication port of the superior control system is faulty.

    • Solutions: Check the connection of the communication cable, re-plug the cable or replace it with a new one to ensure a firm connection; check the EtherCAT interface, clean the dust and debris at the interface, and replace the module if the interface is damaged; check and reset the communication parameters to ensure they are consistent with those of the control system; check the communication port of the superior control system, and repair or replace it if there is a fault.

    • Possible Causes: The on-site sensor is faulty and cannot output signals; the wiring between the sensor and the module is loose, open or short-circuited; the input channel is burned out or the internal circuit is faulty.

    • Solutions: Check the on-site sensor, judge whether it is normal by replacement method or detecting its output signal, and repair or replace the sensor if it is faulty; check the wiring between the sensor and the module, repair the open or short-circuit points, and ensure the wiring is firm; if both the sensor and the wiring are normal, it may be a fault in the input channel, and the module needs to be replaced.


  • No Action in Output Channel
    • Phenomenon: After the control system issues an instruction, one or more digital output channels have no corresponding action, the on-site actuator does not work, and the corresponding output indicator of the module is not on or is on but has no output.

    • Possible Causes: The internal circuit of the output channel is faulty, such as damage to the driver tube; the wiring between the actuator and the module is loose or open; the actuator is faulty, such as the relay coil is burned out, the solenoid valve is damaged; the module output power supply is faulty and cannot provide sufficient voltage or current for the output channel.

    • Solutions: Check the wiring between the output channel and the actuator to ensure it is firm and free of open circuits; check the actuator to determine whether it works normally, and repair or replace it if it is faulty; check the module output power supply to ensure the voltage and current meet the requirements; if the above are normal, it is an internal fault of the output channel, and the module needs to be replaced.


  • Module Cannot Be Powered On
    • Phenomenon: After the power is turned on, the power indicator of the module is not on, and there is no sign of work.

    • Possible Causes: The power wiring is wrong or loose, resulting in no power supply to the module; the power voltage does not meet the requirements, such as too high or too low; the internal power circuit of the module is faulty, such as the fuse is burned out, the power chip is damaged.
