IC697ACC721 is a rack fan assembly produced by GE Fanuc, mainly used for heat dissipation of GE Series 90-70 modules. The specific introduction is as follows:

Structural Design: The module contains 3 fans with ball bearings, featuring low noise and long service life. The module also comes with a cable assembly for parallel connection of the 3 fans, and users can insert the cable into the wiring connector of the fans.

Working Principle


Fan Operation Principle: The module has 3 built-in fans with ball bearings, which are connected in parallel through a cable assembly. The left fan is equipped with a 3-foot-long cable that can be connected to a 120 VAC power supply, and the other two fans are connected to the first fan through cables or connector assemblies. When powered on, the motor of the fan drives the blades to rotate, and the electromagnetic force of the motor drives the blades to rotate, thereby generating air flow.


Airflow Circulation Principle: The module must be installed at the bottom of the rack. When the fan is running, it draws in external cold air from the bottom of the rack. The cold air flows upward inside the rack, passes through each electronic module, takes away the heat generated by the modules during operation, and then the hot air is discharged from the top of the rack or other vents, forming an air circulation path from bottom to top to achieve forced air cooling for the equipment inside the rack.


Filtration Principle: The module is equipped with a polyurethane foam filter with a porosity of 30 ppi. During the air inhalation process, the filter can effectively capture dust and other particulate impurities, preventing dust from entering the rack, avoiding dust accumulation on electronic components that may affect heat dissipation or cause circuit failures, ensuring clean air flow, and thus protecting the electronic equipment inside the rack and extending its service life.
