Character: White needle shaped crystal or slightly yellow freeze-dried powder. Molecular weight 25000 (pancreas). Water soluble is a broad-spectrum protein Hydrolase characterized by the decomposition of insoluble Elastin, which can be extracted from animal pancreas or fermented by microorganisms. The Elastase extracted and purified from animal pancreas is a peptide chain Endonuclease, which contains 240 amino acid residues. The Isoelectric point is PI9.5, and the optimal PH is 8.1-8.8. The enzyme activity can be maintained for several days at 4-6 ℃ with a PH value of 5-10. The freeze-dried powder can be stored for 6-12 months below 5 ℃. It will become inactive when encountering strong acid, and can catalyze the hydrolysis of other peptide bonds formed by Elastin peptidase or neutral amino acids.
Purpose: Biochemical research. Microbial Elastase, like tryptic Elastase, has a wide range of hydrolysis characteristics. It can not only degrade Elastin, but also decompose Casein, gelatin, blood fibrin, hemoglobin, albumin and other proteins. It is a broad-spectrum peptide Endonuclease. This enzyme can increase the activity of lipoproteinase and has the function of A lipoproteinase, which can prevent cholesterol synthesis in the body and promote its conversion to cholic acid
