Activators: Hexokinase requires Mg2+ions (KM=2.6 mM) for activity Hexokinase is activated by echolamines and related compounds; Inhibitors: sorbose-1-photosphate, polyphosphates, 6-deoxy-6-fluorolucose, 2-C-hydroxy-methylglucose, xylose, lyxose, and thiol reactive compounds (Hg2+and 4-chromomercuribenzoate)
Purpose: This product is for scientific research only and cannot be used for other purposes. (The following purposes are for reference only) is an enzyme that catalyzes the phosphorylation reaction of hexose 6 by ATP. right α－ D-glucose has a high affinity (Km=1) × 10-5M), other hexoses can also be phosphorylated. The balance of this reaction shifts to the right. △ G ° '=4.0 kcal. This enzyme can be activated by Mg2 and K, but can be inhibited by HS reagents.
