A caliper disc brake (caliper disc brake) is a type of disc brake. Its rotating element is a metal disc working with an end face, which is called a brake disc. Fixed element is the working area of the friction block and its metal back plate of the brake block, each brake in 2 ~ 4, these brake blocks and their actuating devices are mounted across the brake disc on both sides of the clamp-shaped bracket, always known as the brake caliper. The brake disc and caliper together constitute a caliper disc brake.
It refers to the component that generates the braking torque, the force used to impede the motion or tendency of the vehicle to move. Currently, friction brakes are mostly used in automobiles, which use the friction between the fixed element and the working surface of the rotating element to generate the braking torque.
