German technical background VOK ®- Disper 1150 Wetting Dispersant
VOK ®- Disper 1150 is a solvent free wetting and dispersing agent used in PVC and thermoplastic applications to improve dispersion and reduce the viscosity of filling and coloring systems. It is applicable to the production of liquid color masterbatch and solid color masterbatch.

Storage and transportation
The product may solidify below 20 ° C (68 ° F). Heat to 30-60 ° C (86-140 ° F) and mix well. The product is hygroscopic.

Product features and advantages
VOK ®- Disper 1150 can reduce the viscosity of coloring and filling PVC plastisol, and is especially recommended for inorganic pigments, zinc oxide and foaming agent (azodicarbonamide). The product can increase the solid content in the system, improve the coloring power of the pigment and shorten the dispersion time. It can also prevent delamination of plasticizer and reduce sedimentation potential.
Recommended dosage
The amount of additives (purchase form) is based on the amount of solids:
Inorganic pigment: 1-3%
Organic pigment: 5-7%
Inorganic filler: 1-3%
Foaming agent: 1-2%
Zinc oxide: 1-3%
The above recommended dosage is for reference only, and the appropriate dosage shall be determined through a series of tests.
Adding method and processing guidance
The additive shall be added to the liquid component before adding solids. VOK ®- The Disper 1150 can be used in the form of liquid, solid or partial solid. After being completely dispersed in the plasticizer, the performance of the product will not be affected.
Thermoplastic
Product features and advantages
VOK ®- Disper 1150 is adsorbed on the surface of pigments, which can generally make pigments better processed and dispersed. It is recommended to be used in the production of fatty acid type liquid color masterbatch with inorganic pigments for the coloring of thermoplastic plastics (PE, PP, PET). In this kind of application, it can reduce viscosity well, thus increasing pigment content. The additive is also recommended to be used in solid color masterbatch to stabilize inorganic pigments and effect pigments in PE, PP and PET. In these systems, it can improve torque accumulation, production efficiency, viscosity (MVR) and filter pressure value (FPV).
Recommended dosage
The amount of additives (purchase form) is based on the amount of solids:
Inorganic pigment: 0.5-3%
Titanium dioxide: 0.5-3%
Effective filler: 0.5-3%
The above recommended dosage is for reference only, and the appropriate dosage shall be determined through a series of tests.
Adding method and processing guidance
When used to produce liquid color masterbatch, VOK ®- Disper 1150 is slowly added to the carrier system in a stirred state. Pigments can only be added after the auxiliaries are completely dispersed and uniform. When used for solid color masterbatch, it can be added to solid or polymer carrier before or during compounding.
