Product Description
Cooling tower filling, also named as cooling tower fill media, or cooling tower fill pack, or cooling tower infill, or cooling
tower filler, is made of PVC or PP plain plate, hot pressed in a certain mould and produced with different designs and sizes.
Cooling tower fill is a very important component for water and gas exchanging in cooling towers. It is located in the middle or bottom of the cooling tower. Some cooling towers would be full of the fill media, some would have half and half of the fill media, and some large cooling towers would be installed 1 layer of the fill media in the bottom.
The function of cooling tower filling is to increase the contact area between hot water and air and to extend the time of water flow, thus to help reduce the water temperature quickly. It is widely used in many kinds of cooling towers, especially industrial cooling tower, such as nuclear plant, energy and mining, big factory, thermal power factory, large steel mill, etc.
OW cooling tower fill is a kind of counter-flow cooling tower fill, which is glued together to be a block and placed full of the middle bottom of cooling tower.
The thickness is 0.25mm to 0.35mm; the width is 150mm, 305mm, and 610mm; and the length can be customized, such as 1200mm, 1800mm, 2000mm, 2400mm; the pitch is 12mm, 15mm, 19mm, and 25mm. The 19mm is the normal size, so the OW cooling tower fill is also called CF1900, CF1200, meaning the fill would be glued to be a block with the size 305mm*305mm*1200mm.
The honeycomb is in the vertical direction to make sure the cool air meet the hot water directly. Usually there are 2 or 3 layers in the bottom of the cooling tower. There are PVC air inlet louver match the CF1900 fill which make sure the water treatment surface area proportion arrives to 248m2/m3, and the typical face velocity arrives to 2.0-3.5m/s.
