There are many forms and structures of cooling tower fill, each type has its own characteristics to fit various applications. Cooling tower fill is to put water surface area in contact with air as much as possible, for the longest amount of time possible. Pvc fills allow the water to form thin flowing sheets to expose as much water surface area as possible to the interacting flow.
Oblique cooling tower fills also called cross-fluted film fill media manufactured from rigid PVC sheets conforming to CTI STD-136 for cooling tower heat-transfer applications. The media is fabricated from corrugated PVC sheets that are solvent-welded for maximum strength and resistant to UV, rot, fungus, organic and inorganic solvents, acids, alkalis, and chemicals normally found in cooling tower waters.
