3500/46M Module

I. Product Description

3500/46M is a multi-mode water flow monitoring module specifically designed for hydroelectric turbines in the 3500 series of products. It is tailored for hydroelectric power stations and uses common hardware part numbers: 176449-06, 140734-06. It is compatible with five types of sensors: eddy current, speed, acceleration, air gap, and dynamic pressure. It is used to monitor special measurement points such as turbine shaft vibration, axial thrust displacement, stator air gap, dynamic water pressure, and bearing vibration. It supports up to 8 sets of automatic switching of alarm thresholds for different operating conditions and is compatible with multiple operation modes such as turbine start-stop, no-load, power generation, and pumping. It can be combined with key signals for vibration spectrum fault analysis and supports hot-swappable chassis. It complies with API670 and SIL safety standards and is the exclusive core acquisition board for the TSI system in hydroelectric power plants.

Core Function of Multi-Condition Threshold Switching for Hydropower: Pre-set 8 independent alarm parameters for start-stop, grid connection, full power generation, pumping, etc., avoiding low-frequency vibration mis-tripping during turbine variable conditions and speed increase, perfectly adapting to the bidirectional operation scenarios of pumping storage units.

Supports collection of extremely low-frequency signals, capable of monitoring tailrace water pressure pulsations, low-frequency fluctuations of stator air gap, identification of turbine vortex bands, and hydraulic imbalance, etc., specific faults.

Integrated acceleration integration operation function, can directly connect piezoelectric sensors to convert into vibration velocity values, and is compatible with two types of monitoring schemes: non-contact and contact with the casing.

Built-in full-loop self-check for sensor disconnection, short circuit, gap voltage over-limit, abnormal pressure signal, fault immediate alarm upload, eliminating protection refusal or misoperation of key equipment in hydropower.

Pre-BNC buffered output, can be externally connected to capture low-frequency pressure pulsations and vibration waveforms for water turbine hydraulic fault traceability analysis.

Channel bypass function, temporarily shielding alarms for a single measurement point during maintenance, while other channels remain in normal safety interlock protection.

Can be linked with 3500/34 TMR triple redundant relay module to achieve ETS emergency shutdown protection for turbine vibration, air gap, and pressure over-limit.
