. Ball screw maintenance method
Good lubrication when using a ball screw is very necessary. Without sufficient lubrication, the friction between the steel ball and the rolling surface will increase during operation, and it may become the main reason for the shortened life.
The ball screw can be lubricated with grease or lubricating oil, and the lubrication method can be roughly divided into manual lubrication and automatic forced lubrication. You can make a suitable choice according to the system's operating speed, use environment and other requirements.
The frequency of lubricating grease varies according to the conditions of use and the environment. Generally, it is recommended to replenish the grease once every 100KM of running distance. The oil lubrication method is recommended to use lubricating oil with a viscosity of 30~150cst.
. How to protect TBI ball screw
TBI ball screw should avoid the entry of dust, chips, dirt, etc. If the screw rod is exposed on the machine tool, it is recommended to use a protective cover to close it, such as a spiral spring steel belt casing, a telescopic casing or a folding casing. When installing, connect one end of the protective cover to the end face of the ball nut, and fix the other end to the support seat of the TBI ball screw. If the TBI screw rod is in a hidden position, a sealing ring can be used for protection, and the sealing ring can be installed on both ends of the nut. The contact seal has a good dust-proof effect, but the friction torque is slightly increased due to contact pressure. Non-contact sealing can avoid friction torque, but the dustproof effect is slightly worse. When working, avoid hitting the protective device. If the protective device is damaged, replace it in time.
. Regularly check the support bearings
It is recommended to regularly check whether the connection between the screw support and the bed is loose and whether the support bearing is damaged. If problems are found, the loose parts should be tightened in time and the supporting bearings should be replaced.
