NAC air shaft friction clutch for winding machine
NAC air shaft friction clutch is a regular and standard industrial clutch. It is widely applied in winding machine to transmit power, so the power motor does't need to start and stop frequent, it can well protect the motor's service life greatly.
NAC industrial air shaft clutch is a kind of friction pads clutch. It is composed of cylinder, piston, flange plate, two-cut friction pads. After flowing into air pressure, piston pushed flange plate compressed with friction pads, then clutch linked. This clutch is like a connector, it can transmit power from driving part to driven part directly.
When the flange plate connected with power through chain wheel, gear wheel, V-belt pulley, when the motor working, driving flange plate will be rotated together. But in this time, the driven shaft is not working. If needed to transmit power from driving flange plate to driven shaft, we should input air pressure, making flange plate touches with friction pad, power transmitted to the driven part, so the driven part will be rotating together.
Following are the special characters of this pneumatic shaft clutch:
1. Torque adjustment range is wide
It can be adjust torque in wide range according to air pressure adjustment.
2. Safe and reliable
It will not produce electric spark.
3. Suitable for high-frequent, continuous sliding movement
It is durable in high frequency, high load and continuous sliding movement industry situation, also can be used as limiter.
4. Small impact
After connecting, increase air pressure softly, to reach stable start and reduce impact for equipment
5.Long service life
Good heat dissipation and less abrasion.
6. Compact structure
Belt can be connected with clutch for working, convenient for usage.
There are some models of it, like NAC2, NAC5, NAC10, NAC20, NAC40, NAC60. This clutch transmits power from 26N.m to 590N.m for different models. Following is the detail technical data of it for your reference:
In this table, we can see that this friction clutch is air shaft installation. Its bore diameter is 20-60mm for different models. As NAC clutch is friction type clutch, so it is suitable for high speed connecting and rotating, max rotating speed can reached to 1800r/min. And its friction pads are made of non-asbetos material, it is wear-resisting, durable and safe. On the other hand, these pads are easy for replacement.
This air shaft clutch is widely used in rubber machine rollers, conveyor, elevator, handling machinery, food machinery, printing machinery, crusher, motor, tire and rubber machinery, packaging machinery, forming machinery, automatic machinery, wire machinery, sheet metal machinery, filling machinery, plywood machinery, medical machinery, stretching wire machinery, fiber machinery, metalworking machinery, pulverizing machinery, tire forming machinery, paper making machinery and etc.
Above picture shown is the NAC pneumatic clutch used in textile machine. It is shaft and belt installation, power transmitted through belt. As usually, this shaft and driving part rotating in idle, after supplying air pressure, clutch linked, power transmited from driving part to driven part directly.
