QDF air engagement friction horizontal air disc brake
QDF horizontal caliper disc brake is large torque air engagement friction type brake, it is used to clamp friction steel plate. This QDF air brake is driven by air pressure, it is normal release brake. That is to say, as usually this brake is in released status, after inputting air source, QDF braked and clamped rotating steel plate for stop. This air brake appearance is similar with DBH horizontal mounted caliper disc brake. So it has left and right two models accordingly.
There are two models of it: QDF-2, QDF-3. They are equiped with 2# and 3# air cylinder in separately. QDF-2 and QDF-3 are both used for steel plate thickness is 12.7mm. They are equiped with different size of air cylinder head, so their braking force is different.
This QDF air brake structure is similar with DBH horizontal caliper disc brake, while it can produce higher torque than it. Following is the detail technical data of it for your reference:
There are two models of this caliper disc brake: QDF-2, QDF-3. Their braking pads distance is both 12.7mm, that is to say, QDF-2, QDF-3 they are suitable for friction pads thickness both 12.7mm. When the air pressure is 6 bar, QDF-2 total clamp force is 7500N, QDF-3 total clamp force is 12700N. While this total clamp force is different with braking force.
From above technical data, we can see that QDF-3 braking force is nearly twice of QDF-2. For example, when air pressure is 0.6Mpa, steel plate diameter is 457mm, QDF-2 braking force is nearly 1450N.m, QDF-3 braking force is 2600N.m. When steel plate diameter is 610mm, QDF-2 braking force is 2400N.m, while QDF-3 braking force is 3600N.m.
QDF horizontal high torque caliper disc brake is suitable for working machinery, construction machinery, steel rolling machinery, coiling machine, gantry crane and hoist, paper making machinery, ship, trimming machinery, feeding machine, orientation machine, tension controller, iron and steel machinery, packaging machinery, printing machine, textile machine, wire and cable machine, machine tool equipment, wind driven generator, solar energy equipment; iron and steel, aviation, metal process and many other industrial fields.
In this case, QDF air friction pads brake is used in textile machine, it is matched with pillow type safety chuck. QDF clamping steel plate which is extended from manual safety chuck. When this safety chuck connected roller material winding and unwinding, air brake is released. When it needs to stop this roller, inputting air source, then QDF brake's friction pads will clamp this steel plate for stopping.
