Process flow of cassava starch processing line:
Cleaning-washing-crushing-separation-desanding-enrichment and refining-dewatering-drying
1). Cleaning section: This is the first step for cassava starch processing in cassava starch processing line. The cassava is transported into dry sieve by belt conveyor for cleaning. The sand, soil, weed, stone and other impurities are removed in this process.
2). Washing section: The cleaned cassava is then transported into paddle washing machine for further removing sand, soil, dirt and other attached debris in cassava starch processing line. By adopting countercurrent washing principle, this washing machine can effectively remove the impurities.
3). Cassava cutting and crushing section: The washed cassava tubers are conveyed through conveyor belt to the cutting machine. In this section in cassava starch processing line, the cassava roots are chopped into pieces so as to ensure a properly feeding into the resper. Crushing is an key factors which determines the extraction rate of cassava starch. DOING rasper fully absorbs advanced technologies from home and abroad whose breaking rate is more than 94%.
4). Screening section: The original starch slurry after being crushing need to be screened to separate the starch milk from the fiber in cassava starch processing line. At the same time, the fiber needs to recovery of starch by detergent. The purpose of separating is achieved by centrifuge sieve and fine fiber sieve.
5). Desanding section: As the words indicates, this step is for removing sand out of starch pulp to improve the taste of cassava starch in cassava starch processing line.
6). Concentration and refining section: In cassava starch processing line, this steps serves to separate insoluble protein, residual soluble protein and other secondary substances from starch slurry, so as to achieve the purpose of washing, refining and concentration of starch milk.
7). Dewatering section: Cassava starch dewatering machine is mainly used for reduce the water content of cassava starch in cassava starch processing line. The most widely used machine for this process is peeler centrifuge which is a continous operation machine. Afte the dewatering process, the water content of wet starch is about 38%.
8). Drying section: The airflow flash dryer uses saturated steam to heat the air through the heat sink, and the hot air heats the starch to achieve the purpose of starch drying in cassava starch processing line. After the starch is dried by the flash dryer, the water content of starch is between 12% and 14%, which is the standard of the finished product.
