Single screw extrusion principle
Conveying section from the last thread , the material in the conveying section can not be plasticized, but must be preheated and compacted to complete the conveying task
Principle of single screw extruder: the second section is called compression section. The volume of screw trough decreases gradually from large to small, and the temperature should reach the degree of plasticization of materials.The finished plasticized material enters the third paragraph.
The third part is the measurement section, where the material maintains the plasticizing temperature, just like the metering pump accurately and quantitatively transports the melt material to the machine head, the temperature cannot be lower than the plasticizing temperature,generally a bit higher.
Single screw extruder is a kind of plastic extrusion line.
Sheet extrusion: suitable for PVC PET PS PP PC and other profiles and sheet extrusion
Advantage: single screw extruder design is simple, price is cheap, so used widely.Disadvantages: (1) the material transportation of single screw extruder mainly depends on friction, which limits its feeding performance. It is difficult to add powder, paste, glass fiber and inorganic filler.(2) when the head pressure is high, the countercurrent increases and the productivity decreases.(3) the material of the single-screw exhaust extruder has little effect on the surface renewal of the exhaust area, so the exhaust effect is poor.(4) single screw extruder is not suitable for some process, such as polymer coloring and thermosetting powder processing.
