Index                 
Use the Index option to insert 1, 2, or 3 table rotations in the steps list. On machines with board handling, multiple indexes (Index 2 and Index 3) are used to increase machine throughput, since the table rotation does not have to stop at each 90° increment. 
The index feature behaves differently on dual head and single head machines and whether or not the machine has board handling configured. 
Refer to the tables for descriptions about how the machines behave when multiple index steps are used. 
Dual Head 8 machines only: Be sure the number of indexes selected in the product corresponds to the rotary table stop configuration in the machine configuration. If they do not correspond, the product status indicates 'Add/Delete Index Step(s)' 
Refer to the machine specific Operation Reference Manualfor details about removing rotary table stops.
