1. General

Zearalenone(ZEN), also called as F-2 toxin, the main component of 2,4 - dihydroxybenzoicacid ester compounds produced by Fusarium graminearum and yellow sicklemonocytogenes. ZEN mainly contaminate corn, wheat, grain and other crops, whichhas a strong estrogen effect, and can cause estrogen pigs, rats, mice, poultryand other animals too much disease and severe symptoms of reproductive tractand infertility, also has immunotoxic, genotoxic etc., it has estrogen effectto human too.

Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and high-performanceliquid chromatography (HPLC) has been a common method of Zearalenone detection,but sample preparation and samples analysis of this method is time-consuming andexhausting. The use of Zearalenone ELISA kit to analyze Zearalenone residue ofsamples is fast and accurate.

Thiskit is a new generation of fungal toxins detection products in application ofELISA technology, to minimize operating errors and work intensity.

2. Test principle

Thistest kit is based on the competitive enzyme immunoassay for the detection ofZearalenone in the sample. The coupling antigens are pre-coated on themicro-well stripes. The Zearalenone in the sample and the coupling antigens pre-coatedon the micro-well stripes compete for the anti-Zearalenone antibodies. Afterthe addition of the enzyme conjugate, the TMB substrate is added forcoloration. The optical density (OD) value of the sample has a negativecorrelation with the Zearalenone in it. This value is compared to the standardcurve and the Zearalenone concentration is subsequently obtained.

3. Application

Thistest kit can be used to detect Zearalenone in grain, beer and feed samplesqualitatively and quantitatively.
