1.  General

Deoxynivalenol,also known as Vomitoxin belongs to the trichothecene mold streptozotocinfamily, produced by some Fusarium fungi. Deoxynivalenol are presented in wheat,barley, corn and other grain seeds, the content is usually mg / kg (μg / mL,ppm) level. Because of their high cytotoxic and immunosuppressive properties, Deoxynivalenolconstitutes a health threat to human and animal.

This kit is a newgeneration of fungal toxins detection products in application of ELISA technology,to minimize operating errors and work intensity.

2.  Principle

Thistest kit is based on the competitive enzyme immunoassay for the detection of Deoxynuvalenolin the sample. The coupling antigens are pre-coated on the micro-well stripes.The Deoxynuvalenol in the sample and the coupling antigens pre-coated on themicro-well stripes compete for the anti-Deoxynuvalenol antibodies. After theaddition of the enzyme conjugate, the TMB substrate is added for coloration.The optical density (OD) value of the sample has a negative correlation withthe Deoxynuvalenol in it. This value is compared to the standard curve and the Deoxynuvalenolconcentration is subsequently obtained.

3.  Application

Thistest kit can be used to detect Deoxynuvalenol in rice, millet, wheat and other grains and feed sampels qualitatively and quantitatively.
