Doppler Lidar is a tool capable of measuring the wind accurately. In areas such as wind power generation facilities and wind farms. The Doppler Lidar can provide wind conditions remotely and in real time—something that cannot be done with conventional systems equipped with anemometers.

Doppler wind lidar can be a part of intelligent wind power control system for offshore and onshore wind farms measurement and establishment of "big data +" and "wind turbine internet" . Measurement accuracy is up to 0.1-0.5m/s, highly reliable, can compete against foreign counterparts.

Doppler wind lidar, as a new generation of wind resources measurement tool, can improve the efficiency of wind power generation by 3-10%, extend work efficiency over 10%.

INTRODUCTION

S4000 Doppler Wind Lidar with the ability of 3D wind field measurements in atmospheric boundary layer and lower tropospheric is designed for applications in various fields such as wind power, aviation weather and climate, air quality and so on. It is a coherent Doppler lidar with high efficiency and sensitivity. The compact all-fiber configuration turns the lidar into a portable autonomous system with no electromagnetic interference.

S4000 3-D wind lidar works at eye-safe wavelength in near infrared spectrum (1.4um-2.2um), probes the wind field from the ground to 4000m at very high temporal resolution (second level) and spatial resolution (30 m) and accuracy (≤0.1 M / s). It compensates the disadvantages of wind profiler radar in detection capacities, and can continuously obtain the 3-D wind field parameters within the scope of atmospheric boundary layer. This 3-D lidar will boost the offshore wind power and complex site wind farm markets with advanced technology at lower cost.
