A ball mill is a type of grinder used to grind materials into extremely fine powder for use in mineral dressing processes, paints, pyrotechnics, ceramics and selective laser sintering.

 

A ball mill consists of a hollow cylindrical shell rotating about its axis. The axis of the shell may be either horizontal or at a small angle to the horizontal. it is partially filled with balls. The grinding media is the balls, which may be made of steel (chrome steel), stainless steel or rubber. The inner surface of the cylindrical shell is usually lined with an abrasion-resistant material such as manganese steel or rubber. Less wear takes place in rubber lined mills, such as the Sepro tyre drive Grinding Mill. The length of the mill is approximately equal to its diameter.

 

Features of ball mill

1.This type of ball mill is a kind of traditional ball mill, with rolling bearings (Babbit metal bearing bushing seat)

2. Simple structure, and split installation.

3. It is easy to lift it whileinstalling and maintaining.

4. Its feeders are classified intotwo types: combined feeder and cylinder feeder.

Working principle of ball mill

1. This ball mill is horizontal type and tubular running device, has two warehouses.

2. This machine is grid type and its outside runs along gear.

3. The material enters spirally and evenly the first warehouse of the milling machine along the input material hollow axis by input material device.
